Orlando Cerasuolo is currently Assistant Professor of Etruscan and PreRoman Archaeology at the “Eastern” University of Naples and Scientific Director of the Virtual Archaeology Museum of Narce (MAVNA) in Mazzano Romano.
His research focuses on landscape archaeology; social boundaries; life and afterlife of material culture. He investigates the relationship between form and function as well as the interaction between external influences and local development within the framework of production, imitation, experimentation and hybridization.
He promotes the use of modern approaches to archaeology, including statistics, scientific analyses, remote sensing, open data, 3D modeling and digital manufacturing.
He has carried out fieldwork all over Italy as well as in Greece, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
