The workshop will take place in early June 2019. The learning outcome is about understanding the history of the place, local conditions and needs via interviews of citizens, documentation of historical surroundings, planning of concrete spaces, routes and spreading information via media and multidisciplinary design. The work will start with a research of the surroundings, followed by a choice of the planning objects, meetings with locals and an exhibition at the end of the course.
The workshop is offered to students of architecture in Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture and Estonian Art Academy, students of landscape architecture in Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture and Italian students of architecture. The credits consist of work on site with exhibition, course evaluation and learning diary.
